AGC Miniature Exhibition

Miniature Exhibition is a showcase and competition for the best painted miniature by Another Garage Con attendees

Bring your best personally-painted miniature and show off your best work and compete against your fellow AGC attendees!

The Rules

  1. Each contestant may enter no more than one entry for the competition. An entry may consist of a single miniature or a group of miniatures/diorama with a common theme or paint scheme.
  2. Permissible miniatures are any Battletech miniature produced by Iron Wind Metals, Ral Partha, or Wizkids. Modification/kitbashes are permissible as long as the original miniature on which the modification is based fits those criteria.
  3. All entries must be the entrant's own personal work. No commissioned work or miniatures painted by other artists permitted.
  4. Participants may choose to compete in one of two categories:
    • ELITE represents the highest level of competition. Any Camo Specs artists who choose to participate are automatically assigned to this category. Any other participants who wish to may choose to compete in the elite category.
    • REGULAR represents the general field of competition.
  5. All entries for this category are due in by 12:00PM. All attendees at Another Garage Con are eligible to vote for the winner of the Miniature Showcase.
  6. Judges will choose and rank their top three selections from the competing minis in each category; each judge's first place mini will be awarded three points, their second-place mini will be awarded two points, and their third-place mini will be awarded one point.
  7. The judges votes will be tallied and the entrant in each category with the highest point total will be the winner for that category.

Iron Painter Battletech

Iron Painter Battletech is a timed painting competition; how good of a paint job can you put to a mini in the space of two hours?

Compete against not only the other painters, but the unceasing tick of the clock to produce the winning Battletech miniature!

The Rules

  1. Each participant is responsible for providing one assembled and primed Battletech miniature. Attaching the miniature to a base is optional. No other work may have been done to the miniature prior to the contest other than the application of a prime coat and attaching the miniature to a base.
  2. Permissible miniatures are any Battletech miniature produced by Iron Wind Metals, Ral Partha, or Wizkids, or must wholly consist of parts from Battletech miniatures produced by one of these companies. No other kitbashes or custom miniatures are permitted.
  3. Basic paints, brushes and supplies will be provided but participants are encouraged to bring their own brushes, paints, inks, glue, flock, etc.
  4. No mechanical painting aids or other equipment (paint sprayers or spray cans, airbrushes, Dremels, lighters, etc.) will be permitted.
  5. Participants may choose to compete in one of two categories:
    • ELITE represents the highest level of competition. Any Camo Specs artists who choose to participate are automatically assigned to this category. Any other participants who wish to may choose to compete in the elite category
    • REGULAR represents the general field of competition.
