General Main Event Rules

1. Main events will be played using the Total Warfare™ rules set. Any additional rules in effect will be indicated and explained by the referee at the start of the game.
2. Main events will be played on hexed maps. General features and any special features of the terrain will be indicated and explained at the start of the game.
3. Initiative will be handled by a modified "playing card system". Each player will be assigned a playing card at the start of the game. These cards will be shuffled and randomized each turn. When a player's card is turned up, they will move all their units within a reasonable amount of time (1 minute or less per unit in the player's force is reasonable).
4. Each player may pre-register for one slot in one of the Main Event games. All AGC 2009 events will use pre-generated forces.
5. Referees can be requested by any player to make a judgement call on any aspect of the game. Referees' decisions are final.
